A lot of companies talk about being sustainable, but not many can back up their environmental claims with belt and braces facts.
ETB Autocentres is striving to be more sustainable as a company. Going the extra mile to be kind to the environment at the same time that we’re kind to our customers. Read on to discover our approach.
We are installing solar panels at our headquarters to pave the way for a sustainable future. While our Worcester HQ might not be synonymous with sunshine, it represents the perfect setting for the panels, which work in any climate and still generates electricity even if a slight amount of sunlight hits.
In fact, they are more efficient in cold weather, meaning they can generate more electricity with greater effectiveness than hotter areas. With the price of our energy bills rising in an unpredictable world, the forward-thinking decision has never looked better.
Our renewable energy investment aligns perfectly with the Bridgestone E8 Commitment, which clearly defines the value that Bridgestone is promising to deliver to society, its customers and future generations.
ETB is celebrating a momentous moment in the drive towards electric vehicle mobility, after starting the installation for our first-ever charging port in our head office Blackpole site.
The installation of the charger marks the start of an exciting new era and the official beginning of our commitment to expand our EV charging infrastructure.
The technology will be replicated at other stores over the coming months and years and is another nod to Bridgestone’s all-encompassing E8 Commitment.
The EV charger is our first tiny step towards including electric delivery vehicles in our fleet for short run local drop offs and in conjunction with our roof top solar project will help reduce delivery costs in the future.
EV chargers in our retail stores will not only be utilised by the team as an added value service for customers while their cars are being serviced, but it will also be available for the general public to use too. By doing so, they will be brought closer to our brand and left with a memorable retail experience that they will be more likely to come back to.
As a Bridgestone partner -backed company, we are proud of the work Bridgestone continues to carry out, which sets the standards for ETB.
